Fattoria dei Barbi
Appearance: Intense garnet red.
Aroma: A bouquet of red and black berries and cherry with hints of spices and licorice.
Taste: The taste is warm and ample, with a good structure and soft tannins. Red fruits and earth flavours.
Serving Suggestions: Roasted or grilled red meats or game. Excellent with mature cheeses.

Fattoria dei Barbi's Brunello is very rich and decadent with black cherry, plum, prune and tobacco aromas. The wine shows great tannic structure and smooth consistency. Very nice.

Wine Advocate
The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the more elegant, understated wines of the vintage. Sweet red cherries, tobacco, licorice and new leather are some of the notes that emerge from this somewhat lithe yet totally classy wine. The 2006 doesn't look to have the structure of vibrancy to support long-term cellaring, but it should drink nicely for at least a number of years. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
